Library: There is an extensive library of books available in the estate, which is updated regularly
Parking: Up to 5 cars can be parked within the Estate premises, 50m away from the main villa/cottage
Business Services: Wi-Fi Internet access in rooms and public area, printer, copier and scanner is available on the estate.
Car Rental: Chauffeur-driven rental cars or Taxis can be made available at short notice on request.
Housekeeping: Housekeeping is daily. Since water in the hills is scarce and precious, guest linen is changed once every 4 days during the duration of stay. Extra towels are available at all times.
Laundry: Washer and dryer available on premise. No ironing service available.
Newspapers: National newspapers (late edition) are delivered daily to the Estate
Air-conditioning: Mechanical heating and cooling is available in the Conservatory. Mechanical climate control is not needed elsewhere
Telephone: All mobile services work on the Estate. Vodafone services are the best, while Airtel works well in specific locations.
Heating: Heaters in all rooms and spaces. Characterful functioning fireplace in the living room to add flavour to those lovely evenings! All double beds have electric blankets during Winters. We have locally made bukharis which we provide on request during winters to keep you most cosy! The fireplace and bukharis burn a mix of dead wood and pine cones which we collect throughout the year. On special requests, we provide Kashmiri Kangris to give you a real mountain feel.
Electrical Supply and Voltage: Electrical supply is generally stable, however, being a rural area, it is prone to outages and low voltage. Back-up is provided via a generator and battery inverter. Voltage is 220V
Television: TV Lounge with cable service featuring all national channels is available. Please note that rooms do not have televisions and we want to keep it that way.
Packed Meals and Picnic Hampers: Upon request, we would be delighted to provide customised packed Meals and Picnic Hampers for you to carry during your trips from Himalaica.
Pets: Well-behaved pets permitted on the Estate premises. However, the guests need to take care that the pets do not go onto any furniture, unless guests have brought own sheets/ rugs to cover the furniture and by the end of the stay. Please bring your pet’s sleeping bed/ mattress along so that the pets do not sleep on our guest beds
